ALPHACAM SOFTWARE

FEATURES:

• Alphacam (Ultimate Mill module) is a CAD/CAM* software, part of FEMTOprint system for 3D glass micromachining (2 network licences available)
• Alphacam is necessary for programming of laser machining process. i.e. to define the laser parameters, type of materials, trajectory of laser beam, etc. )
• 2D or 3D model of a object to be machined can be created using the Alphacam or imported from other CAD-type software (e.g. solids)
  • Import of CAD files - various formats acceptable including 3D XYZ Points, ACIS, ANVIL, CADL, Catia V4/V5, Creo Parametric, DWG, DXF, IGES, Ilustrator, Inventor, JT Open, Parasold, Part Modeler, PDF, Postscript, Rhino, SketchUp, Sold Edge, Solidworks, SpaceClaim, STEP, STL, VDA-FS, Vero Transfer Files, VISI
  • FIle type preferred for 3D structures: STEP, STL, IGS, DWG
• Design process results in a list of machining Operations. Each Operation may concern the fabrication of one or multiple features with given set of parameters.  
• At the end of design step, Alphacam exports the encrypted job file (.enc format) which will be executed sequentially (Operation by Operation) by the 3D printer machine (f100 aHead Enhanced) in the cleanroom.

ACCESS:

• SELF-SERVICE AFTER TRAINING
• Alphacam software is available on the dedicated PC station, installed next to the machine (MIMENTO clean-room, 3D laser machining room)
• Alphacam can be also installed on User PC on demand
• The use of software is free of charge, however, the reservation on LIMS reservation site is required due to limited number of available licenses
